"Maybe Tomorrow."
"Right." (Y/n) whispered, hands clasped in front of her as she stared at her husband, who was sitting at his desk, a pen in his hands as he wrote up what she could only assume was a doctor's report. She got it. He was an important doctor, and he needed to keep up with his work. But it had been two whole years since the last time they had sat down together as a couple. Two whole years.
Law cleared his throat, looking up at her and signalling her that she needed to leave, so he could get work done. (Y/n) hadn't even realized she had been standing there, a far off look in her eyes.

tw for entire work : mentions of slavery, abuse, non con, graphic violence There was something so unnerving about the open ocean, and the way its endless deep coated most of the world and enveloped everything it touched. (Y/n) had never liked the way the waves lapped against the side of the ship and rocked everything side to side as if it was threatening to sick them at every moment. And when she had married into the Charlotte family, she had retired from the sea, and it had been perfect; glorious. Despite all of the flaws of the Big Mom Pirates, and all of their wrong doings, they had welcomed her into their family with open arms, and she had been grateful for it. The relief of the protection, the family, and the friends she had made had allowed (Y/n) to sleep better than she had in most of her life. Much of her comfort could be attributed to her husband. Despite the cold, harsh exterior he wore as a shield to the world, he was kind at his heart. A man that cared only of his

“Have you ever thought about romance?” “What sort of question is that?” (Y/n) laughs, wiping her hands against the bottom of her skirt as they moved through the streets of Galrod Island - the king had been working for Big Mom, and had apparently decided to head some sort of revolution that had ended with her and Katakuri arriving to wipe out most of the island. And maybe the question wasn’t very appropriate, considering the two of them had just spent the entire day committing mass murder. Years ago, she would have felt bad about it, but (Y/n) had learned since then what a terrible place the world truly was, and before anything else, safety was her priority. She was safe with the Big Mom Pirates - safe with Katakuri. “It was just a question! No need to be so defensive.” “If you’re asking because we’re married, no. I never expected anything except a partnership from you.” (Y/n) watches as Katakuri wipes the blood from the tip of his

“You don’t know what it was like!” “No, because you won’t tell me, (Y/n)!” There’s a frustration that seeps into his voice. A heavy emotion that Katakuri doesn’t often show. But this fight had been one of the first they had ever had. “How am I supposed to just say ‘I was a slave.’? How am I supposed to expect you not to look at me differently when I show you how ugly I am?” Her voice wavers, and the more she speaks, the quieter she gets. But she had said it. She had told him, and a thick silence was set between the two of them. (Y/n) doesn’t want to look up. She doesn’t want to see the look on his face that she knows must be something of pity. He must see how weak she was now - how battered she was, and how unworthy to be here. But instead she feels a hand on her shoulder. “You’re from Mariejois.” It’s not a question, and (Y/n) drops her head and nods. “(Y/n) . . .” His voice tapers off, and he doesn’t continue until she

“ Are you sure?” The words do make him hesitate; his gloved hands only a half an inch away from the scarf that protected his deepest shame. It wasn’t what most people would expect - he had never thought himself ugly or disgusting as people had told him when he was younger. But the shame came from knowing that something so solidly a part of him could get the people he loved hurt. Simply having a face like his own causes violence and pain, and it had been so much easier just to hide it away. And if he hadn’t cared about protecting his siblings, he never would have hid it. But it still makes him hesitate when she asks if he’s sure that he wants to show her. “What if I’m not?” His voice is as gruff and stern as it always is, fixed with a patient sort of monotone that (Y/n) must be used to by now, because her expression of patience doesn’t change. “Then I won’t look.” She says simply. “I can wait as long as you need.” She reaches out, to take one of

Law was tired, and he was hurt, and he was ready to give up. But he couldn't, not when he was so close to killing Doflamingo. It could almost feel the victory slipping away with his will to try. It didn't help that he was strapped to the heart seat with sea prism, and Doflamingo standing a foot away, staring out at his oh-so-perfect Dressrosa. He seemed pretty calm for knowing that Strawhat and the rest of his crew were running around the island causing havoc.
"Do you know what day it is?" Law asked, almost casually, and in such a way that made Doflamingo seem to freeze, because of course he knew what day it was. How could he not?

He had lost. It wasn't like he wasn't prepared for that outcome, but he was just a little bit shocked Straw Hat had actually managed to pull it off. None the less, he knew he was doomed to spend the rest of his life in prison. None of his family members would be on the same floor as him though, and that meant he was going to be alone.
"Doflamingo," a familiar voice spoke, as the door to his holding cell creaked open. He would have sat up to give her a leering grin if it was possible, but with him chained eagle spread to the ground with sea prism stone, he wasn't going anywhere. "it's good to see you again." He could practically feel

( Y/N ) ( L/N ) had never hurt a soul in her whole life. She’d been tossed around place to place, used, abused and loved, but she’d never hurt a person. She’d lost her parents when she was young, on a small island near the coast of a much bigger, much richer one. She remembered it clearly, even now, into her forties she remembered who they’d looked- sickly pale and thin, and ( Y/N ) had done all she could to take care of them. But it seemed it hadn’t been enough, and they’d gone and left her. Her father went first, a smile on his lips as he promised she would find a new family somewhere- one that would

He isn’t sure what he’s suppose to think. ( Y/ N ) had lied to him - made him think for years that she’d died - that he’d caused it. Though, he thinks maybe it was his fault that she left; he’d killed his brother and she must have realized what he was really like. He can’t decide if he’s angry or just upset, but he knows that he can’t hurt this woman even if the feeling curling in his gut is anger. He loves her, even now, and he’s never loved someone like that since. “You have a lot of explaining to do.” His voice is tight, but it wavers, and (Y/N ) knows immediately that he’s choked with emotion. It might, though, be because she’d learned him well in their time together. “So do you, Doflamingo.” If she’d been there, ( Y/N ) was sure that he wouldn’t have taken that country the way he had- he wouldn’t have done to Law what he had. To see Law again. . . it was a thought that made her smile. “But I will start.” She pauses, stepping forward and reaching up on her toes

Crocodile x Reader |:. A Taste Of Childhood .:|
People often say that you should 'grow up' or 'stop acting like a child', but that was not the case for (Y/n) (L/n). (Y/n)was different, she suffered from a brain disability that caused her to act childish all the time, and along with this was the fact that she couldn't read emotions like sadness or anger very well, and tended to crack a joke at the wrong time. She could feel fear either. She could be sad, and she could be worried, but never afraid.
It was a wonder Crocodile had picked her to fall in love with. He really didn't seem like the type, did he? No, you'd think he would go for someone that was more like him, calm, reserve
